The following contains major spoilers for The Boys Season 2, Episode 8, "What I Know," and Season 3 available now on Amazon Prime Video.

The premiere for The Boys Season 2 ended with a bang when Susan Raynor, deputy director of the CIA, had her head exploded during a meeting with the titular team. Later, that same Supe attacked the Congressional hearing on Vought International, killing several high-profile characters and eliminating witnesses who could have taken the company down. While just who has been killing people has remained a mystery for much of the season, the finale, "What I Know," reveals the true killer is actually Congresswoman Victoria Neuman.

Congresswoman Neuman Being a Supe Was the Big Twist in Season 2

Throughout The Boys Season 2, Neuman has opposed Vought International and, following the discoveries at Sage Grove Center, she teamed up with the team to take down the company. As a result of the Congressional hearing getting attacked, public support for Vought creating more Supes using Compound V rises. However, thanks to some help from A-Train, The Boys are able to out Stormfront as a Nazi, effectively stopping Vought and its plans. During a press conference, Vought International CEO Stan Edgar blames Stormfront for the attacks.

However, "What I Know" isn't that simple. Instead, later in the episode, Church of the Collective leader Alastair Adana talks with Neuman on the phone. During their conversation, it's revealed they were working together against Vought, with Neuman making promises to Adana for future political favors. At first, Adana is smug that he'll be able to advance his agenda, but as he opens a Fresca, his head explodes. The episode then cuts to Neuman looking in through the window of his office, her eyes briefly changing color.

The episode makes clear Neuman is behind the attacks and this has major ramifications for The Boys Season 3. Neuman is definitely one of the most dangerous supervillains around, as her powers work from both a distance and don't seem to have any limitations, with the attack on the Congressional hearing proving Supes aren't necessarily immune. What makes this revelation particularly shocking is that, at the end of "What I Know," Hughie leaves The Boys to team up with Neuman, meaning he's going to be working with one of the most dangerous super-powered individuals in the world.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad. Season 2 is airing on Prime Video now.
