Rogen is an actor and comedian known for his roles in such series as Freaks and Geeks, 2007's Knocked Up and 2008's Pineapple Express. Rogen is also a prolific producer and writer. Working with Evan Goldberg, Rogen wrote and directed such projects as 2013's This Is the End and 2014's The Interview. The duo are executive producers on The Boys. This is not Rogen's first acting role on a The Boys series. The actor voiced Drug Dealer in The Boys Presents: Diabolical episode "BFFs" and has cameo'd in other episodes. The character from "BFFs" is not the same one Rogen played in "The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies."

Based on the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys was created by Eric Kripke. The series follows the titular team, which seeks to undermine and hurt Vought International, the corrupt organization that profits off of beings with superhuman abilities.
