Comic book artist Darick Robertson -- who created The Boys alongside writer Garth Ennis -- has revealed a poster he and colorist Diego Rodriguez illustrated for Amazon Prime Video's popular television adaptation of the satirical superhero comic. The poster was originally slated to be unveiled during the 2020 iteration Comic-Con International in San Diego before the event was canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Robertson shared the image in a post to Twitter, writing, "I'm finally able to share this [The Boys] Season 2 poster I created with [Diego Rodriguez] for last year's SDCC that didn't happen because of COVID." The official Twitter account for The Boys shared the poster as well, with the caption, "We're celebrating National Superhero Day just this once because, well, look at this poster illustrated by The Boys comic co-creator [Darick Robertson]!"

The poster features the lineup of The Seven featured in The Boys Season 2. Homelander (Antony Starr) is front and center, and is flanked by Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), The Deep (Chace Crawford), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) and Stormfront (Aya Cash). Meanwhile, the eponymous Boys -- Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and The Female (Karen Fukuhara) -- are all present and accounted for as well, occupying the bottom third of the poster. Butcher's dog, Terror, and the whale that was killed in Season 2 can also be seen.

Based on the comic series written by Ennis and illustrated by Robertson, The Boys follows a group of vigilantes who push back against corrupt superheroes who abuse their power and status. The series dropped its entire first season on Prime Video in July of 2019, with Season 2 premiering in September of 2020 and concluding the following month. Production is currently underway on Season 3. While The Boys Season 3 currently lacks a premiere date, what we do know is that its first episode will be titled "Payback." A college-themed spinoff show is currently in the works as well, and will be based on the superhero team known as the G-Men from the original comics.
