Thank you so much to IMDb for this IMDb STARmeter Award, and thank you to all the fans out there that made this happen, that made this possible," Fukuhara said in a virtual acceptance speech posted on the IMDb YouTube channel. While accepting the award, Fukuhara also took a moment to thank all the "AAPI actors and actresses who have paved the way for our generation," naming Ming-Na Wen, Ken Watanabe and Hiroyuki Sanada as some of her biggest inspirations.

"I really look up to Sandra Oh," the actor said. "I first saw Sandra in Princess Diaries and now she's in Killing Eve and it's one of my favorite, favorite shows on television right now."

Fukuhara also reflected on all of the television series she's been watching during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shut down, noting, "I watched so many shows during quarantine, and I know I'm going to miss a few, but I loved watching I May Destroy You [and] The Undoing."

She also revealed that she caught up on the Netflix series, The End of the Fucking World, as well as HBO's Game of Thrones. "Game of Thrones. I know, everyone's already seen it, but I loved it," Fukuhara continued. "Peter Dinklage, amazing, I love Game of Thrones."
