After the high profile casting of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, speculation has run wild about what other superheroes from the comics universe of The Boys will be introduced in the television show's upcoming third season. One Supe introduced early in the source material that hasn't yet been formally introduced in the show is Tek Knight. Possessing no powers and wielding an advanced robotic suit of armor, Tek Knight is not only a clear analog to Marvel's Iron Man, but also to Batman, as he is a rich playboy who operates out of a cave underneath his mansion and is aided by a butler and youthful sidekicks.

Tek Knight's arc in the comics is as comically perverse as it is tragic. The hero seeks professional psychological help after being ousted from the superhero team Payback, The Boys' spoof on The Avengers, after developing an uncontrollable compulsion to have sex with random objects, animals and humans. Tek Knight's deviancy eventually destroys his career and alienates his allies, making him a perfect blackmail target for the Boys. While the hero has been absent from the show thus far, save for a couple of references to his in-universe films, he would be a perfect addition to the already sprawling cast. So, with that said, let's look at a few of the ways the hero could be introduced.

THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE SEVEN

The Seven from The Boys TV Show

Since Black Noir is still comatose after his Almond Joy-related incident and Stormfront is seemingly down for the count, The Seven has a few vacancies to be filled. Tek Knight could very easily be the newest member of the team because, after all, he is the subject of blockbuster films, meaning he is more than likely very popular with the public. The only issue with this scenario is given his compulsion issue, the hero could be seen as a liability to Homelander, who desperately hopes to fix the public image issue The Seven is facing.

A PART OF THE CHURCH OF THE COLLECTIVE

Alastair Adana On The Boys

Right before his murder at the hands of Victoria Neuman, Church of the Collective leader Alastair Adana confesses that his organization has collected a large amount of scandalous information on various Supes. In the comics, Tek Knight seeks the help of a psychological professional for his issue, but television adaptation could have it so the hero becomes involved with the Church for help, leading to him being one of those compromised Supes. It's also possible that, given Tek Knight's wealth and influence within the Supe community, he could be a candidate to replace Adana at the top of the organization.

TEK KNIGHT'S MYSTERIOUS ALLEGIANCE

In the show, Tek Knight's relationship with Vought is still pretty vague. Since Stan Edgar urged Homelander to attend the premiere of one of the hero's films, Tek Knight Lives, it could be inferred that he is a Vought-created hero. However, Tek Knight doesn't have any real powers, he's just a rich guy that desperately wanted to be a Supe. So, since he was not created by Compound V, it makes more sense that he a separate entity from Vought, possibly even the product of a company that he himself runs. Perhaps Tek Knight's role could be to attempt a takeover of the Supe scene by creating more mech-suits. Given that Vought decided against releasing Compound V to the public, there is no better opportunity to provide an alternative.

A PRIME TARGET FOR THE BOYS

At the end of Season 2, Victoria Neuman, now the new head of the Office of Supe Affairs, has cleared the records of the Boys and given them the green light to continue their anti-Supe activities. So, as a legitimized team, the group could make Tek Knight their first blackmail target, mirroring the character's storyline from the comics.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad. Season 2 is available on Prime Video now.
