Marvel Comics boasts a legendary roster of heroes who have faced countless numbers of villains throughout their time in popular culture. However, it's safe to say that not many of those heroes have faced an enemy quite like The Boys' Homelander, who is equally as merciless and sadistic as he is powerful.
With his Superman-like abilities, Homelander would be a formidable threat for many Marvel heroes. From Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man to Colossus and Captain America, let's take a look at how these legends would fare against the mighty leader of The Seven.
10 Destroys: Colossus
Colossus is at a major disadvantage right from the start. His mutant ability allows his body matter to shift into metal, which gives him incredible strength and resilience, but the problem is that he's facing an opponent with heat vision that can melt metal.
Colossus could potentially hang with Homelander on a purely strength-against-strength challenge. However, when one takes into account the latter's speed, flight, and ability to vaporize the X-Man's body at a distance, the scales are tipped in Homelander's favor. This is not a fight Colossus wants.
9 Demolished By: Scarlet Witch
This wouldn't be much of a battle, as Homelander lacks the basics defenses needed to be able to go toe-to-toe with an opponent like Scarlet Witch. There is nothing Homelander could do to counter Scarlet Witch's destructive chaos magic, and even less he can do to defend himself when she decides to bend the very fabric of reality around him.
Scarlet Witch is a complete and total powerhouse in every sense of the word and she's simply too much of a badass to be bothered by an opponent like Homelander.
8 Destroys: Captain America
Fans want this fight to go differently, as Captain America taking out a false-patriot like Homelander, who defiles the American flag and every positive thing it stands for, would be the ultimate form of justice. Unfortunately, Cap would get absolutely destroyed by Homelander.
Cap's perseverance and vibranium shield would keep him going for an admirable amount of time, but there's only so long the Marvel hero could hold out against an enemy of Homelander's power level.
7 Demolished By: Thor
Homelander would be no challenge for the God of Thunder. Swapping electricity generation in and taking away heat vision, Thor can do everything Homelander can do and more, he just does it all way better. Let's also not forget Thor's cosmically-powered hammer that is fueled by energy that Homelander hasn't even seen before.
Thor is a god, while Homelander is a superhuman born in a test tube. These two can't even be compared.
6 Destroys: Spider-Man
While Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes of all time, being a cultural icon doesn't give him the boost he would need in order to have any hope against Homelander. Maybe a Symbiote empowered Spider-Man could have a chance in a brawl with Homelander, but that is a big 'maybe.'
Your standard, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man wouldn't be able to keep up with Homelander's superhuman speed and strength, as well as his highly advantageous flight ability.
5 Demolished By: Captain Marvel
Similar to Homelander's fight with Thor, his fight with Captain Marvel would be short, as she would have no problem showing him what a real hero looks like. This fight would be extra entertaining because of Homelander's likely cockiness going up against a woman with a similar powerset as him and then getting easily demolished by her.
Having comparable, if not higher, speed and strength as Homelander, Captain Marvel thoroughly overpowers him with her cosmic origins that grant her energy manipulation powers.
4 Destroys: Ant-Man
Lacking any natural superhuman abilities, what makes Ant-Man a superhero are Pym Particles and his suit that allows him to shrink and grow in size by using these particles. Going goliath just makes Ant-Man an easy target for a heat vision blast right to the heart, and going small only allows him to hide from Homelander.
The Marvel hero's one hope is a fanfiction-worthy move that involves Ant-Man sneaking into Homelander's body at a microscopic size and then expanding. If Homelander's body is strong enough to deflect bullets though, it likely would be resilient enough to stop Ant-Man from growing and causing damage.
3 Demolished By: The Hulk
Puny Homelander stands no chance against Hulk. Even with the Hulk at his weakest, he still would be able to manhandle Homelander. The Hulk has pulled off feats like holding a planet together and literally punching time. What possible threat could Homelander pose to him?
With Hulk's incredible jumping, Homelander's flight doesn't help him much. Hulk can match Homelander's speed, if not exceed it. And, Homelander's heat vision would do little more than annoy Hulk, as his strength and healing would overcome it. This is a battle Homelander should avoid.
2 Destroys: Deadpool
Considering their personalities, a fight between Deadpool and Homelander would probably be hilarious, with the latter getting annoyed when the former keeps on regenerating from his attacks. Honestly, Homelander would likely be pretty entertained by Deadpool.
In the end, though, Wade doesn't have what it takes to stand much of a chance against the leader of The Seven. In some alternate universe out there, fans could see Deadpool and Homelander making for hilarious "frenemies."
1 Demolished By: Phoenix
This fight would last as long as it would take Phoenix to snap her finger and de-atomize Homelander into permanent nothingness. As the avatar of the Phoenix Force, the embodiment of life and destruction in the universe, Jean even lowering herself to a battle with Homelander is laughable.
To be fair, very few heroes or villains in popular culture are powerful enough to even have a chance against Phoenix. Fans can rest assured knowing that Homelander is not one of these characters.
