Homelander tries making amends with the public for his relationship with a literal Nazi in a speech released by The Boys' Vought News Network.The speech, cutting into Seven on 7 host Cameron Coleman's "war on Christmas" segment, saw Homelander address the country from New York's Vought Tower regarding his Season 2 actions. "This year has presented challenges for all of us," the Seven's leader admitted. "As these challenges have unfolded, your trust has been betrayed and, for that, I am truly sorry." Describing the role of superheroes as "pillars of society, symbols whose ideals and principles people look up to, role models who can trusted in every circumstance," Homelander then declared that he will "lead the charge to rebuild that trust."
To reinforce his message, Homelander assured viewers, "I want you to know that... I'm listening, much more than I'm speaking, because I hear you and I am here for you. I am here for you, and I always will be."
The Boys Season 2 saw Homelander and the Seven gain a new team member in Stormfront (Aya Cash), who Vought selected to replace the now-deceased Translucent. Initially jealous of Stormfront's media-savvy tactics and rabid fanbase, Homelander eventually learns that she is secretly a former Nazi and the wife of Vought creator Frederick Vought, having using her powers over the decades to build a white supremacist following. Rather than being appalled, Homelander enters a relationship with Stormfront and even lets her meet his illegitimate son Ryan, whom Stormfront briefly tries to indoctrinate.
Instead, Ryan severely incapacitated Stormfront with his powers in the Season 2 finale, resulting in Vought taking her away to an unknown location. Under threat of blackmail from Queen Maeve, Homelander reluctantly agreed to back up Vought's claim that Stormfront was responsible for the Compound V hearing assassinations.
It was confirmed in September that Season 3 of The Boys officially completed filming. Since July, multiple Seven on 7 web videos -- which parody the aesthetics and rhetoric of biased news shows -- have been released, each one providing in-universe updates on the Seven's lives and Vought products in between Seasons 2 and 3. They also tease the arrival of new characters for Season 3, including heroes like Blue Patriot and Supersonic -- Starlight's ex boyfriend -- as well as Soldier Boy, played by Supernatural's Jensen Ackles, in a Disneyland-themed advertisement.
The Boys Season 3 currently doesn't have a release date. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
