This article contains spoilers for The Boys Season 3, now streaming on Prime Video.

The Boys answered the debate on who would win in a fight between Homelander and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Thanos.

Artist Agt Design posted a piece of fan art depicting the hypothetical showdown between the Mad Titan's army and Antony Starr's sinister villain. In response, the official Twitter account for The Boys claimed the outcome of the battle depended on whether one particular hero was free to lend a hand. "Answer depends on if Termite and a mound of blow's available," reads the tweet.

Termite was a Vought-affiliated superhero with the ability to shrink himself at will, though his fondness for cocaine also caused him to oftentimes lose control over his powers. His mention is likely a reference to the Thanus Theory, which was one of the most infamous fan theories crafted after the release of Avengers: Infinity War. The idea proposed that Ant-Man, a Marvel character with a similar powerset to Termite, could have defeated the Mad Titan by shrinking down and sneaking up Thanos' anus. Ant-Man could then rapidly expand while inside and kill Thanos from within.

A comparable scene was shown during The Boys Season 3 Episode 1, wherein Termite accidentally kills his lover when he crawled inside of his penis and accidentally expanded. Showrunner Eric Kripke confirmed the scene was a reference to the Avengers' Thanus Theory. "Craig Rosenberg wrote the script and deserves most of the blame for it," Kripke said. "These evolve in a writers' room and the evolution of that sequence started with, 'We need The Boys to fight a superhero.' So then we ask, 'What big superhero haven't we done yet?' Someone says, 'We haven't done Ant-Man.' And then someone else says, 'There's that meme of Ant-Man climbing up Thanos' butt and blowing him up. So we should do that. We should give the audience the thing that Marvel can't give to them."

Actor Brett Geddes, who played Termite, previously revealed The Boys' showrunners even constructed a giant penis for the scene. Geddes shared a couple of behind-the-scenes photos showcasing him and his stunt double Alex Armbruster posing in front of the colossal prop. "For those wondering...the d--- is real," the actor wrote.

The Boys Season 3 is available for streaming on Prime Video, with new episodes premiering every Friday.
