It's no secret that Homelander from The Boys is a deliberate ripoff of Superman when it comes to powers and abilities. On a personality level though, the two characters couldn't be farther apart, with Superman operating by a strict moral code and Homelander lacking any sort of morals whatsoever.
Although audiences have yet to see Homelander unleash the full extent of his strength in the series, everyone has seen enough of what he's capable of to be able to theorize about how Homelander might fare against some of the best and brightest heroes from the DC Comics universe.
9 Demolished By: Miss Martian
Homelander lacks a crippling weakness like kryptonite (at this point in the series, at least), but he does have a fragile mind that can be manipulated by the right people. He also has a pretty traumatic past as a child raised like a lab rat.
Miss Martian is a master of her psychic powers, and invading the minds of others comes as naturally to her as breathing. Absorbing all of Homelander's worst memories and making him relive them, Miss Martian would be able to melt his brain in a matter of seconds.
8 Destroys: Green Arrow
While Green Arrow would likely plan admirably against Homelander and use tactics to even the odds, there just isn't much Ollie can do to outmatch his foe, even with his long-range capabilities with his bow and arrows.
There's nothing Green Arrow could throw at Homelander that Homelander wouldn't be able to overcome. Ollie stands no chance in this match up and is better off just running and hiding.
7 Demolished By: Green Lantern
Harnessing the might of a Green Lantern power ring, the more elite members of the Green Lantern Corps would be able to wipe the floor with Homelander. This includes Earth-based Lanterns like Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart.
Utilizing their power ring's devastating arsenal of light constructs, most of which can be used at long-range, a Green Lantern would be able to eventually overwhelm Homelander's raw strength and take him out of commission.
6 Destroys: Aquaman
Aquaman and Homelander are about equal when it comes to strength. Homelander has two very important abilities that Aquaman lacks though, heat vision and flight.
As long as Homelander doesn't allow the fight to move to the water, using these two abilities to his advantage will allow him to make quick work of Aquaman. Fist to fist, this fight could go the other way, but Homelander is too smart not to spam his heat vision from the air.
5 Demolished By: Zatanna
Similar to his fight with Miss Martian, Homelander simply lacks the defenses necessary to be able to stand a chance against Zatanna's destructive magic. She's a powerhouse who is on another level than Homelander.
From telekinesis and teleportation to reality alternation and time travel, there are a million different things Zatanna can throw at Homelander. And if worst comes to worst, she can just send him to another dimension. Problem solved.
4 Destroys: Cyborg
This battle has the potential to be fairly close, as Cyborg can be a capable fighter with his body's built-in weapon systems and his ability to repair himself. That said, Homelander's heat vision evens the odds between these two when it comes to projectiles, and his flight and super-speed completely tip the scales in his favor.
Cyborg's arsenal and tech would keep him going for a while, but this isn't a fight he can win.
3 Demolished By: Wonder Woman
As a god, Wonder Woman is immortal, imbued with magic, and blessed with superhuman strength and speed. She can fly and she's a master warrior, armed with a deadly blade, a strong shield, and powerful bracelets. Besides Heat Vision, Wonder Woman can do everything Homelander can do, except better.
Some of DC's most powerful villains can't touch Wonder Woman. Homelander would be a walk in the park for her.
2 Destroys: Shazam
These two are about as even as any two superheroes on this list. They essentially have the same power set, except Shazam can manipulate electricity while Homelander has his heat vision. However, a very important thing separating these two is the fact that Shazam is actually a boy.
In a fight with Homelander, Shazam would be held back by his innocence and good nature, while Homelander would not hesitate to do any number of horrible and violent things to his enemy.
1 Demolished By: Superman
The real deal, and not some knock off. Superman is the pinnacle of power and strength in superhero popular culture. While Homelander is a clone of him with similar powers, he can't hold a candle to the real thing.
Everything Superman is just better, Superman fighting Homelander wouldn't be much of a contest. Stronger, faster, and saner, Superman easily takes care of Homelander in between writing articles for the Daily Planet.
