WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for The Boys Season 2, Episode 6, "The Bloody Doors Off," available now on Amazon Prime Video.

Most of Season 2 of The Boys has been focused on the ongoing confrontation between Billy Butcher's team and The Seven. The titular Boys are doing their best to take down Vought and their super-powered heroes, and the battle is all kinds of bloody. And yet, there's a mysterious third player at work on the series in the form of the Church of the Collective. The Church was initially introduced through the Deep, who was unceremoniously demoted from his role in the Seven.

The Deep was emotionally vulnerable, and the Church used that opportunity to take him onto their side. And now, the cryptic organization may have just found another recruit in the Seven's resident speedster, A-Train.

A-Train from The Boys

A-Train has been going through a tough time in Season 2. After suffering a heart attack due to his use of Compound V, the superhero can barely use his super-speed anymore. Because of all of this, Homelander kicked him off the team, and worse still, he has to film Dawn of the Seven, a movie that will end with his official departure from the team.

And it's actually while visiting the set of the movie that the Deep runs into his old teammate. Like A-Train, the Deep was kicked off the team, and he was sent away to operate as a solo superhero. The aquatic superhero went through a downward spiral, but he was "rescued" by the Church of the Collective. The Church has given him a new purpose, and even a new wife to help his public image. The Deep is doing all of this so he can get back into The Seven, but it looks like the Church might be getting to him. Indeed, the Deep approaches A-Train, and he rapidly sells him on the concept of the Church. He invites the speedster to a diner, and although A-Train seems a little hesitant at first, he ultimately accepts.

At dinner, the Deep introduces A-Train to the Church of the Collective's leader, who immediately tries to get under the superhero's skin. A-Train sees right through it, and he attempts to leave, but the leader knows all about the speedster's money problems -- and that's enough for A-Train to sit back down and see what the Church has to offer that could financially help him out.

It's unclear what happens next, but it seems like A-Train might have just agreed to become the Church's newest recruit. Like the Deep, he may have joined for personal reasons, but he may end up falling under their influence and control, whether he likes it or not.

Now, the Church of the Collective has two members of The Seven on their side, and they might add more before the season comes to a close. While that seems bad enough, the worst part of it all is that fans still have no idea what their ultimate goal is. Even if the Boys manage to take down Vought, the real trouble might come from someone they aren't paying attention to.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad.
