The Boys adds three new cast members to the upcoming fourth season, including Hughie Campbell's mother.

As revealed by the show's official Twitter account, Rosemary DeWitt will join The Boys as the mysterious Mrs. Campbell opposite Simon Pegg returning as Hugh Sr. DeWitt is best known for her roles in projects like Rachel Getting Married, United States of Tara and Little Fires Everywhere. The Twitter account added, "Also, welcome Elliot Knight and Rob Benedict in roles that ain't yer business just yet." Knight's previous roles include the title character in Sky1's Sinbad and Kyle "Gaz" Garrick in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, while Benedict can be recognized from his work on Felicity and Supernatural.

Benedict isn't the only Supernatural alum to make the jump to The Boys. After Jensen Ackles joined the cast in Season 3 as Soldier Boy, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be a part of Season 4, although, like Benedict and Knight, his role is being kept under wraps. Also joining the series will be Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward as new supes Firecracker and Sage, respectively. Season 4 will see Cameron Crovetti (who plays Ryan Butcher) be promoted to a series regular and a new character don the mask of the silent supe Black Noir.

While story details for Season 4 are unknown, it's expected to follow the presidential campaign of "Dakota Bob" Singer (Jim Beaver, also a Supernatural veteran) and Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit). Executive producer Seth Rogen teased what's to come for the superhero satire, promising, "I can't be more shocked by what they're doing over there, they find a way to shock me even more." Additionally, Jesse T. Usher, who plays A-Train on the series, touched on the gruesome carnage that has become a trademark of The Boys, saying, "I can't say if it's more or less. What I can say is it's surprising... It's surprising for everyone."

In addition to Season 4 of The Boys, Prime Video is also developing a spin-off, Gen V, which will follow the next generation of Vought International's supes as they attend the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. According to an official synopsis, Gen V is "an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It's part college show, part Hunger Games—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys." The series will take place concurrently with The Boys' fourth season and will air sometime in 2023.

The first three seasons of The Boys are available to stream on Prime Video. Season 4 doesn't yet have a release date.
