New set photos released by The Boys gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at Season 3's infamous Termite scene. The premiere episode of The Boys' third season, titled "Payback," featured a size-altering supe named Termite, played by Brett Geddes, who had shrunk down to climb inside of his lover's genitalia. However, when the super-small supe sneezed and reverted back to his normal size, he accidentally killed his lover in the process. A series of photos shared by The Boys on Twitter depicted the life-size sets used to film the scene. "Just what you came to Twitter dot com for today," the tweet reads. "BTS of a giant fake penis and the world's largest bag of blow."RELATED: The Boys Releases Soldier Boy Movie Footage With a Cheeky Content Warning

Geddes himself has previously showed off photos of the sequence's massive set in June. "For those wondering…the dick is real," Geddes wrote on his Instagram at the time. The photos featured the Termite actor and his "stunt double [Alex Armbruster] after each taking a turn jumping on the trampoline of [fake] coke." The photos show how the absurd set pieces were constructed practically as opposed to through CGI. In a previous interview, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke explained that, despite their massive scale, the sets eventually had to be destroyed after filming for the sake of space.

"[T]here came this very sad day where the production designer called me and said, 'We're out of stage space. The penis is massive, we have to tear it down.' And I said, 'No, we have to find a place to store it!'" Kripke explained. "And my producer's like, 'I'm not spending thousands and thousands of dollars just to store this giant penis for posterity. So unless you want to put it in your backyard, it's done.' And I would say I went so far as to mention it casually to my wife just to take her temperature. But there was simply no place to put it. So sadly, it was destroyed."

The Boys was renewed for a fourth season shortly after the third season's premiere on Prime Video, and production on Season 4 is currently underway. "Speaking for the cast and crew, we’re so grateful to Sony, Amazon, and most of all the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more," Kripke said when the series was renewed. "We're thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys' fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we're living in. Also, this is the first time in history that exploding genitalia has led to further success."

Based on the comic series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Seasons 1-3 of The Boys are available to stream now on Prime Video. Season 4 has no confirmed release date.
