Season 3 of The Boys recently began production in Toronto, with showrunner Eric Kripke teasing new details about its upcoming plot. This includes an adaptation of The Boys' infamous "Herogasm" comic book storyline, in which the Boys infiltrate a Vought party that's revealed to be a massive superhero orgy hidden from public view where nothing is off-limits for the Supes. Other established details include Hughie Campbell working for Congresswoman Victoria Neuman and her superhero oversight agenda, unaware that Neuman was secretly responsible for various Scanners-inspired assassinations across Season 2.

Debuting in The Boys' series premiere, Urban's Billy Butcher has been a central driving factor across the show's main storyline, recruiting Hughie and roping his former colleagues Frenchie and Mothers Milk into a crusade against Vought and the Seven's false heroism images as embodied by Homelander. Much of Butcher's arc involved seeking revenge against Homelander for the rape and presumed murder of his wife Becca, only to learn that Becca was not only alive but had given birth to Homelander's biological son Ryan, who gradually began to demonstrate powers across Season 2. Becca was inadvertently killed by Ryan in an attempt to save her from being attacked by Stormfront during the Season 2 finale but Butcher, temporarily putting his hatred of superheroes aside, absolved Ryan of blame and allowed him to go with the CIA for his own safety.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Aya Cash as Stormfront. Seasons 3 has yet to receive a premiere date.
