Homelander is a terrifying villain, and no one can tell what is going through his head. So when Ashley brought Blindspot, a disabled superhero, to replace the dead Translucent, Homelander destroyed Blindspot's hearing in front of her.

This is one of the most shocking Homelander quotes, especially because there was nothing to suggest Homelander would do what he did — gouge Blindspot's eyes out. Homelander then proceeds to warn Ashley about making any changes to the Seven without his explicit approval.

Homelander thinks of himself and every other superhero as a different species. He doesn't believe that ordinary people are worthy, and thus, he has so much hatred for normal humankind. However, if he wants to stay with Vought, he has to do exactly what is being asked of him. This quote perfectly defines the hypocritical world shown in the series.

What the Supes look like from the outside world is not the truth, and there is more going on than meets the eye. Homelander's line highlights the business-minded community that controls everything in the world, including the Supes.

There are multiple reasons why Homelander hates society. Firstly, he was brought up like some kind of monster, which means he has always struggled to feel anything. More importantly, he had nobody to nurture him while growing up, explaining his desperate need for parental affection.

Homelander's emotions just haven't developed, and he continues to have mood swings left, right, and center — so much so that he mocks other humans for having feelings. This quote is a result of his hatred toward people who have an emotional understanding of themselves.

Further, Homelander simply can't let go of the love he receives from millions of fans who have no idea what an unbalanced personality he is.

Despite that, he wouldn't mind if Vought was brought down due to an unforeseen event, and that's where this Homelander quote fits perfectly. Homelander actually had enough brains to go with all his talent, explaining why he managed to overthrow Stan Edgar and install himself as the leader of Vought.

This quote is the perfect insight into Homelander's world of thoughts. He is a supe, and there aren't many weapons that can hurt him physically. In fact, it appears that the only thing capable of destroying him is a nuclear bomb — and even that is just a probability.

However, for some reason, he takes very little things seriously. If he hears some negative words about himself, his face looks like it could explode at any moment. He seems to think that the Seven is family when it clearly isn't. Homelander would hate to admit it, but he hangs on to every person's word.

5 "You Are Dark, and I Kind of Like It"

A quote that sums up two of the most popular characters in the show, Billy Butcher and Homelander. Unsurprisingly, Homelander says these words as a compliment to Billy when the latter tries to draw him out using Madelyn and her baby.

All Homelander thinks about is murder, manipulation, and extortion, so it isn't a surprise that he relates to Billy, who himself thinks about doing horrible things all the time in the name of love. That said, it can be argued that Billy has the Boys to keep him from going too far — whereas Homelander can't be coaxed, cajoled, or even reasoned with.

4 "We Gotta Cut That Part of You Out Like a Cancer"

We gotta cut that part out of you like a cancer. Then you can be who you were always meant to be. Pure. Clean. Like marble.

There's never been any doubt that Homelander was more than just a little unhinged, but with Soldier Boy coming after him and Black Noir going into hiding, he was in an incredibly vulnerable position. And what do unstable heroes do when they feel vulnerable? Give themselves a pep talk, of course. In Season 3's "Herogasm," fans saw a terrifying side of Homelander, or rather more terrifying than usual.

It's one of those rare moments where it's actually hard not to feel a bit of compassion for him. After all, he just wants people to like him, to shower him with praise and approval, to feel human. The Homelander in the mirror reminds him that is his weakness. So long as he keeps seeking the approval of others, he will remain weak, but cutting that part of him out will not only make him stronger, but create an even more perfect version of himself.

3 "I'll Laser Every F***ing One of You"

Season 1, Episode 4: "The Female of the Species"

You, stay the f*** back, or I'll laser you, g*dd**mit! I'll laser every f***ing one of you!

Most of Homelander's quotes come in a dark situation, but there's hardly a scene in the series that's more gloomy than the one where Homelander leaves a whole plane of people to die. While the setting is quite morbid, this quote indirectly references Superman from the DC Universe.

What's worse is that Homelander destroys the cockpit controls while murdering a hijacker, so he forces Maeve to abandon all those people with him. This event has Maeve distraught for months, but she eventually retrieves the evidence required to keep Homelander under control. All things considered, this is one of the most revealing Homelander quotes.

2 "You're Dispensable, Which Means You Answer to Me"

Season 2, Episode 1: "The Big Ride"

Let's get one thing straight. The only reason you're here and not doing corporate PR for f*cking Diva Cups is that I brought you here. You are dispensable, which means you answer to me... From now on, I will set my own agenda, I'll approve my own marketing and write my own talking points.

This is another quote from the series that suggests Homelander's desire to maintain his position of strength. When Ashley comes forward with a couple of future plans for the Seven, Homelander shuts her down and tells her that she will do exactly what he wants. In Homelander's eyes, everyone is dispensable unless they are working to suit his agenda.

This is also why Victoria Neuman changes her allegiance in Season 3, betraying her adoptive father to give Homelander a leg up. Moreover, Homelander's superpowers are such that no one in the world would ever dare to cross him — other than the Boys, of course.

Homelander always wants to remind himself that he is one of a kind. Whenever he feels like something is getting out of his control, he performs an act that makes him feel in control again. In the Season 2 finale, Stormfront's plan for the new world went down the drain, leaving her at death's door.

Homelander also fails to acquire Ryan from Billy, leaving him completely helpless, a feeling that he has never had even once in his life. He stood atop a building, furiously pleasuring himself while screaming this quote at the top of his lungs.
