Actors Laz Alonso and Karen Fukuhara treat fans of The Boys to ASMR in the series' latest promo.

ASMR, or autonomous sensory meridian response, is a form of entertainment revolving around simple, heightened sounds like crunching and crackling. Viewers listen to various sounds as Alonso and Fukuhara consume nuts, watermelon wedges, apple slices and chips. The two also enjoy glasses of Fresca, a beverage which became a running gag in the show's second season.

As the two wrap up their ASMR endeavor, Fukuhara whispers, "This has been one of the most fun experiences of this year," with Alonso adding, "This did not feel like work." The segment was filmed on the set of The Boys Season 3, which released its first teaser trailer in mid-March, showcasing its upcoming brutality and action. The ASMR segment is the latest promo to release following the teaser while revealing no new footage from the series itself.

The teaser trailer debuted the same weekend that The Boys' cast members attended SXSW, with other released promos originating from the conference. One of these promos showed the cast enjoying themselves at VoughtLand, a pop-up fan experience that is based on a new Season 3 locale. Another featured Soldier Boy actor Jensen Ackles discussing the upcoming "Herogasm" episode, sharing an anecdote of the show's camera operator telling Ackles that he had "seen some shit" one day while filming the episode.

One new development in the series that receives the spotlight in the teaser trailer is Billy Butcher's new powers, though Alonso and Fukuhara's characters -- Mother's Milk and Kimiko -- are seen throughout the teaser as well. Mother's Milk was last seen reuniting with his family, though it seems something will rope him back into the fight against supes in Season 3. As for Kimiko, she is briefly seen wearing a hospital gown while dancing with Frenchie in the teaser.

In the original comic series, Kimiko is hospitalized after a fight with Stormfront, which was part of the supe team Payback's plan to trap and kill The Boys. Payback members Soldier Boy and Crimson Countess will both be in the upcoming season, though whether it will adapt this specific story arc remains to be seen. Stormfront was left in a state worse than death at the end of Season 2, and there has been no official word on her return in the future.

The Boys Season 3 begins streaming on Prime Video June 3, 2022.
