An Ohioan man dressed as Homelander for Halloween acted more heroically than Homelander ever did by actually saving someone's life. The Boys' Antony Starr recently shared the local news story, praising the man, Chris Taylor, who saved someone from a house fire on Halloween night on his Twitter.RELATED: Homelander's Reaction to [SPOILER] Proves He's the PERFECT Villain

Actor Antony Starr captioned his post with, "I never been a prouder parent."

Chris Taylor was on his way to a Halloween party with his family when he saw a house ablaze. The man decided to run into the burning house and see if anyone was inside. Taylor ended up finding the owner and saving their life, minutes before local fireman and EMT's arrived.

When asked by local news, WTHR, what the experience was like, Taylor replied, "I yelled as loud as I could is anybody in here real loud and I heard, if someone was to get hit in the sternum how you kind of sound like [when] you’re losing your wind? I heard a sound like that... Kind of a moaning, wispy sound."

"There were flames around and just inches from me," he added. "My costume was getting hot I felt like I was melting." He did decide, however, to keep the suit as an emblem of who he feels he is as a citizen. "I feel like I should keep the costume just so I can always remember like this is who you are. You’re somebody who’s going to help people if they need it.”

Followers of Antony Starr replied to this heroic news story in jest, asking if the man who saved someone also started the fire.

While this may seem a bit morbid to tweet, fans were reacting to the surprisingly ironic news that Homelander -- a villain in The Boys -- would actually perform an act of public service. In the show, as well as in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic, Homelander's character creates mayhem, not justice. He's a warped version of Superman, using his colossal powers to gain favor and control others, rather than use them to make humanity a better place.

Starr replied, "... We don't talk about that in this house," jokingly keeping the idea of Homelander as a fake-hero alive, while also making sure to not actually ruin the praise that Chris Taylor deserves for his selfless action.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Aya Cash as Stormfront. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
