Warning: The following contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett, "Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa," now streaming on Disney+.

When The Book of Boba Fett introduced its thicc Gamorreans, the internet caught fire. Many fans were glad to see these pig-like creatures being more than just background figures, with their muscular upgrades fitting how they were last viewed in The Mandalorian -- as badass, ritualistic warriors not to be trifled with. Unfortunately, as the new Mos Espa daimyo came under attack, these two bodyguards lacked muscle when it was needed the most.

Boba was awfully kind to the duo, not wanting to kill them after they were loyal to Jabba the Hutt, instead offering them a job. And as enforcers, they made a great impression by helping him and Fennec Shand fight off assassins from the Night Wind.

The Book of Boba Fett's Gamorrean Guards Are Very Loyal

With their mean looks and business-like attitude, the ex-bounty hunter knew he had winners on his hands as he sought to assert dominance with his empire on Tatooine. Even Fennec was shut up as she no longer questioned their loyalty. Well, as devoted as they are, the latest episode proved they're not as good on the job once the competitor's elite. It showed when Boba was in his bacta tank, recovering, only to be pulled out and assaulted by the Wookiee assassin, Black Krssantan. The fuzzball was sent by Jabba's Hutt cousins so Boba could be killed, giving the Twins the throne Jabba left behind. What ensued was a brutal scrap, with Boba and his teenage cyborg gang being beaten badly.

No matter how much they cut and shocked the Wookiee, he had answers for everything, using his electric knuckledusters to send a message of intent. Luckily, the Gamorreans entered the fray as equalizers, but they too got pummelled.

Many thought they'd save the day but the Wookiee stabbed, bit, tackled and flung them around like they were kids. It was thoroughly disappointing but admittedly, Black Krrsantan has given the likes of Han Solo and Chewbacca problems in the past, so he's definitely a handful. Still, it was expected the space-pigs would be powerhouses, only to end up being treated like average bare-knuckled brawlers.

Thankfully, Fennec and the teens were able to corral and drop the furball into the Rancor Pit, saving the Gamorreans, as well as Boba. As the episode concluded, they gathered to give the Wookiee back to the Hutts as part of a treaty, but the ironic thing is that with Boba setting him free, they may all end up allying later on as an even bigger family.

It's either that or a rematch as more assassins coming to Mos Espa could result in Black Krrsantan taking on another contract. In that case, if the Wookiee comes back for a hit, the Gamorreans would need to level up as they were no match when it counted most.

A new episode of The Book of Boba Fett arrives each Wednesday on Disney+.
