A number of television shows have had to either cut their seasons short or postpone go on hiatus. NBC's The Blacklist has opted for a unique approach: the show has completed its season finale, "The Kazanjian Brothers," with the help of animation. Now a new trailer reveals the result.

The brief clip features Liz desperately trying to figure out which side she trusts the most. As captivating voice-overs tease new revelations about Red's allegiances, the trailer showcases the show's stars as they appear in the animated sequences, which will comprise a significant portion of the upcoming episode.

"The Kazanjian Brothers" follows the Task Force as they investigate an accountant in pursuit of the criminal brothers guarding him. The episode synopsis also teases a "momentous decision" that Liz will have to make.

Series creator Jon Bokenkamp and producer John Eisendrath previously stated that the graphic novel-esque style of animation used to complete the episode was partially inspired by The Blacklist's ongoing comic book series, written by Nicole Phillips with art by Beni Lobel. Production continued remotely while the actors completed and sent in voice work.

The Blacklist stars James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq and Laura Sohn. The Season 7 finale airs on NBC Friday, May 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
