After 12 seasons, the hit CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory is officially coming to an end. Fans have been counting down the number of new episodes the series has left to air, and now, production on the series has officially wrapped.

On Wednesday, actor Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny on the series, shared a black-and-white picture on Instagram of the cast sharing a warm embrace. "Final group scene," the star wrote. "That’s a wrap."

CBS first announced Season 12 would be the series' last in May 2018. As the final season has progressed, most of the series' lead characters have found, or are moving toward, their happy endings.

The Big Bang Theory premiered on CBS in 2007 and grew to become one of the biggest comedies on television. 12 years later, the series now clocks in at over 275 episodes and will finally conclude on May 16 with a special one-hour episode. Then, the Season 2 finale of the prequel series Young Sheldon will air, which will be followed by a 30-minute retrospective special, Unraveling the Mystery: A Big Bang Farewell. The special will be hosted by series stars Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco and feature a set tour and special interviews.

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and will conclude with an hour-long series finale on May 16. The series stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg and Melissa Rauch.
