The film, arriving on Blu-ray and Digital HD Tuesday, October 11, is currently screening in select theaters through a partnership between Fathom Events, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment.

Warner Bros. and Fathom Events recently teamed up to bring the animated version of the 1988 graphic novel “Batman: The Killing Joke” to movie theaters in a successful, two-night screening event grossing $3.8 million in ticket sales.

“Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders” sees Adam West returning to his iconic role as Batman alongside co-star Burt Ward (Robin) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman). The movie is an homage to the campy, 1960s television series in which the three actors all starred.

In the animated feature, Batman faces off against Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman who have teamed up in order to wreak havoc on Gotham City. Batman and Robin must travel to space and back in order to stop the plans of their enemies and save the day.

Directed by Rick Morales and written by Michael Jelenic and James Tucker, “Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders” arrives on Digital HD October 11, and Blu-ray and DVD November 1.
