According to recent reports, we might see a Marvel alum appear as Catwoman/Selina Kyle in Matt Reeves' The Batman, with Tessa Thompson, Lupita Nyong’o and Alexandra Shipp all possibly being considered for the role.

Both Thompson and Nyong’o appeared in Marvel Cinematic Universe films, with Thompson portraying Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame and Nyong’o playing Nakia in Black Panther. Thompson will be reprising her role in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

Shipp played the mutant Ororo Munroe, aka Storm, in both 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse and 2019's Dark Phoenix. She also had an uncredited appearance as the character in 2018's Deadpool 2.

Other actors reportedly being considered for the role of Catwoman include A Wrinkle in Times's Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Dear White People's Logan Browning. It has been rumored for some time that Reeves was looking for a woman of color for the role and Zoe Kravitz was reportedly the main contender, though she had to turn it down.
