Peter Sarsgaard, who will be playing an undisclosed character in Matt Reeves' The Batman, is doing a good job of hyping up the film.

"Matt directing this Batman [is exciting]," Sarsgaard told Cinema Blend. "The cast is so awesome. It seems different from other Batman movies to me, just with the cast." The actor even went as far as likening the film to attending a concert by indie rock band The Pixies. "The Pixies were [an] incredibly emotional band, and I think this Batman is very emotional in that way. I think it will be very powerful."

Sarsgaard was officially announced as part of The Batman cast back in early December. He is a longtime actor with appearances in films including 2010's Knight and Day, 2011's Green Lantern and 2019's The Sound of Silence. It's worth noting that Sarsgaard is married to Maggie Gyllenhaal, who appeared as Rachel Dawes in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.

It was recently announced that much of The Batman's filming will take place in Glasgow, Scotland. The city will be turned into Bruce Wayne's home of Gotham.
