Director Matt Reeves has revealed the first look at a new, redesigned Batmobile for Robert Pattinson's The Batman.

Reeves revealed the Batmobile on his Twitter account. The photos feature Batman standing beside and in front of the Batmobile, giving a clear look at Batman's main mode of transportation.

The Batmobile appears to be modified from a muscle car, with possibilities ranging from a Chevelle SS or a Challenger. It also takes some inspiration from artist Neal Adams' Batmobile as well.

Reeves' take on the Batmobile differs from the vehicle that appeared in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. The Batmobile driven by Christian Bale was a Tumbler that appeared more like a military vehicle. This new Batmobile sports red rear headlights with an engine that also sits on the back.

Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard. The film arrives June 25, 2021.
