Filmmaker and Batman superfan Kevin Smith has offered his take on the The Batman's recently revealed version of the Batmobile -- and unsurprisingly, he's into it.Smith commented on the original reveal post made by The Batman director Matt Reeves, which featured several looks at the new Batmobile. "I like it. Has a nice Adam West/Barris feel to it," Smith said. "It’s a believable Batmobile that someone who's not a billionaire could build -- which also helps throw people off the scent of Bruce Wayne being The Batman. Thanks for the early looks! We’re all rooting for you!"RELATED: The Batman: What the Batmobile Photos Can Tell Us About Matt Reeves' Film

Smith is, of course, referring to the Batmobile featured in the 1960s Batman series, which starred Adam West as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Burt Ward as Dick Grayson/Robin. The Batmobile featured in the 1960s series, which was designed by famed custom car designer George Barris, had a similar muscle car feel as this new version.

Many different takes on the Dark Knight's car have been featured in films throughout the years. The Tim Burton Batman films showed a bulkier version of the Batmobile, while Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy featured an almost tank-like vehicle.

Smith also recently shared his excitement about the theory that the Bat symbol on the new Batsuit might be made from the gun that killed Bruce Wayne's parents.  The director is said working on several upcoming films, including Clerks III and Twilight of the Mallrats.

Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard. The film arrives June 25, 2021.
