Behind-the-scenes footage of The Batman reveals that Robert Pattinson was hiding more than batarangs in his utility belt.

Included as bonus content for the HBO Max release of the gritty superhero film, the clip shows Pattinson kitted out in his Batman costume. While a crew member adjusts his suit, he's seen to remove a Juul vape pen from a pouch, seemingly gesturing to Pattinson whether he wants to keep it on his person. The vape pen is then reinserted into the belt before the camera cuts to director Matt Reeves' who's busy surveying the scene. It's currently unknown whether the vape was a regular fixture of the costume.

While the inclusion of the vape pen may seem comical to fans, Pattinson has previously discussed how bizarre it was acting inside of Batman's iconic cowl. "It’s a strange feeling, I had moments when I was shooting, when you just caught a glimpse of yourself in a reflection and you be like, ‘Am I actually doing this, this is crazy,'" explained Pattinson.

Despite the difficulties of donning Batman's suit, the star clarified that it was an important part of the character. Speaking about how he developed the Dark Knight's voice in The Batman, Pattinson clarified that the more he was in costume the easier it was to slip into the character. " It suddenly starts to feel right, and it seems to me, I think the more you record in the suit, the more you embody the kind of character," Pattinson said. "It just started to come out quite organically. I think that's kind of what I was trying to do with the character as well. I was trying to think... he's not putting on a voice. It seemed... he puts on the suit, and then the voice just starts happening for him as a person."
