With the recent announcement that Robert Pattinson will be playing Bruce Wayne in writer/director Matt Reeves’ The Batman, speculation has shifted to the movie’s storyline. While we don't know which villains will be making an appearance in the movie, Dave Bautista has revealed he’s ready to take on the role of Bane.RELATED: Titans' Jason Todd Volunteers to Play Robin in Reeves The BatmanWhen a Twitter user suggested the actor would be a good fit for Bane, Bautista replied, “I accept!”

Reports suggest long-rumored rogues such as Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman remain possibilities for The Batman, alongside supporting players like Commissioner Gordon, Alfred Pennyworth and Robin the Boy Wonder. However, the film is reported to be an origin story set early in the Dark Knight’s career, which would mean the movie would take place before Robin enters Batman’s story.

Bautista, of course, has a well-established history when it comes to movies based on comic books, having played Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Bautista’s response has over 2,700 retweets and over 26,700 likes, making it appear that there would be fan support if he were cast in the role.
