At DC FanDome the first trailer for Matt Reeves' The Batman finally dropped, exciting fans all over the world and inspiring thousands of beautiful pieces of art. Caspar Wijngaard, who does the art for Marvel's Doctor Aphra series, posted his own rendition of Pattinson's Dark Knight.On Twitter, Wijngaard posted a gif showing off the Dark Knight in and out of his costume. The caption simply reads, "VENGEANCE #TheBatman." The "vengeance" line in the caption comes from the trailer, which saw Robert Pattinson's Batman reciting part of the iconic "I am vengeance" speech from Batman: The Animated Series. The quote comes from the episode "Nothing to Fear," in which, Bruce says, "I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman!"

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and co-written by Reeves and Mattson Tomlin. The film stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Peter Sarsgaard as District Attorney Gil Colson. The Batman is set to be released in theaters on Oct. 1, 2021.
