During DC FanDome, the highly-anticipated first look at Matt Reeves' The Batman dropped. During the trailer, fans got their first glimpse of the film's iteration of the Batcave -- and it looks like it may be in an abandoned subway station.

On Reddit, user InternationalGas4 posted a screencap of the Batcave, noting that the text in the cave seems to say "Wayne Depot." The post reads, "Other: Just rewatched the batman trailer for the hundredth time and realized in the Batcave you can roughly make out the words 'Wayne Depot.'"

Comments in the thread refute the claim that it says "Wayne Depot," saying that the text actually reads "Wayne Terminus" or "Wayne Terminal." This revelation means the location of the Batcave is most likely in an abandoned Gotham Subway station.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and co-written by Reeves and Mattson Tomlin. The film stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Peter Sarsgaard as District Attorney Gil Colson. The Batman is set to be released in theaters on Oct. 1, 2021.
