The Avengers, The Green Hornet, X-Men: First Class: Dec 27th Comic Reel

Over the Christmas Holiday, Ain't It Cool News was told of a story in the Albuquerque that states the team will fight both the Kree & Skrulls in the film. While the online edition of the paper is both hidden behind a paywall and reportedly lacking the quote, AICN's scooper provided photographic proof that the key bit of info was in the print edition:

While still just a rumor, getting caught up in the Kree/Skrull war is a big enough threat to bring all the heroes together. Meanwhile, Radar Online claims Disney star Demi Lovato -- fresh out of rehab -- is up for a part in the film. Grain of salt flag on that bit of rumor.

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

Comics Continuum has a new clip from the film featuring the "take my hand" moment from the trailer:

Staring Seth Rogen, release date: January 14th, 2011

Comic Book Movie points to a thread on the Superhero Hype forums where a poster, player1, is answering spoilery questions about the production. He appears to be employed on the film in some capacity and is spilling all manner of details from costumes to plot threads. While I won't repost those things, here's a quote from player1 about his experience filming: "My absolute personal opinion, the entire time I spent on this film felt rushed and very 'last-minute'. We never knew what was going on, as far as the schedule went. They were rushing to finish before christmas. I feel like that might show in the final product, but maybe these guys can pull it off." It's always possible. We know Matthew Vaughn likes to work at speed and Fox brought him on because he could work within the budget and scheduling confines of the project.

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

With much of the studio apparatus on vacation until next week, the news will dribble in like it did today, but the Reel will not rest lest something cool or earth-shattering happens this Winter holiday week. Remember last year how "Spider-Man 4" disintegrated over the entire six week holiday season? Remember how the bulk of that news came out over Christmas? Yeah ... something like that could happen at any time. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of a slow news week.
