The Avengers, Prometheus, Game of Thrones: February 29th Comic Reel

The new "Avengers" trailer slated to drop today hasn't been posted just yet, but there's plenty of new info on Earth's Mightiest Movie to tide fans over until it does. Spinoff Online has posted a quick recap of the Entertainment Tonight behind-the-scenes video as well as a well-timed Entertainment Weekly article interviewing the stars of the film including Robert Downey, Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner.

"I'm on such the periphery," Renner told EW. "By nature of being a sniper on top of a building, the behavior of a sniper is a loner. He gets a call and comes and does his thing."

"The Widow has no time for romance," said Johansson. "She's a lover of all things. She has a love/hate relationship with I think everyone she meets in some way,"

Stay tuned for the new trailer coming later today.

Directed by Joss Whedon and starring everybody. Opens May 4

The "Prometheus" viral campaign has begun with a TED lecture video from the year 2023 featuring speaker Peter Weyland, played by Guy Pierce.

Universal Pictures has picked up the option for Image Comics' "Cowboy Ninja Viking" with "Quantum of Solace" director Mark Forster attached. The original Image series features the child of a psychotherapist who recruits patients with multiple personality disorder to create a unit of counter-intelligence agents. When the agents become out-of-control assassins, the Cowboy Ninja Viking is called in to take them out. Production is set to begin later this year after Forster wraps "World War Z."

Unfortunate news for "Ghostbusters" purists -- Dan Aykroyd confirmed to The Telegraph that Bill Murray will not be returning for "Ghostbusters 3."

"We're not going to do a movie that exploits the franchise," Aykroyd told The Telegraph. "The script has to be perfect. I'm the cheerleader, but I'm only one voice in the matter. It's a surety that Bill Murray will not do the movie, however there is still interest from the studio."

Comic Book Movie has posted an interview with "John Carter" star Dejah Thoris.

Marvel.com has revealed the design and background of Iron Fist in "Ultimate Spider-Man."

"The 'Ultimate Spider-Man' version Iron Fist is definitely a Danny, and not a Daniel, Rand," Man of Action Studios Supervising Producer Duncan Rouleau told Marvel.com. "Unlike some other super heroes on his team, he isn't given to big mouthy boasts or wild displays of teenage angst. Danny embraces a go-with-the-flow attitude. Stepping out from the confines of K'un L'un into the madhouse of New York, Danny tends to look at everything with a wide-eyed sense of the new that offers a unique perspective vs. his more jaded fellow trainees. But don't be fooled, beneath that kick-back demeanor is the most deadly kick in the world...and, of course, an iron fist."

Premieres April 1 on Disney XD
