The Avengers, Man of Steel, R.I.P.D.: Aug 26th Comic Reel

The lads at Comic Book Movie spotted this video of Cap and Loki getting into a scuffle:

Meanwhile, Superhero Hype has a better look at last week’s mysterious ship-like prop:

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

The Man of Steel Facebook Community has a closer look at actress Antje Traue, who sheds a little light on the Micheal Shannon sweats mystery from the other day:

I guess they’re standard issue for Kryptonian bad guys … or, more likely, they wear them to protect the real costumes from the elements and looky-loos. Meanwhile, the military presence in Smallville is felt in this photo:

Directed by Zack Snyder, release date: June 14th 2013

The cast continues to get rounded out as Collider reports actors James Wong and “Glee’s” Mike O’Malley have joined the production. “According to Heat Vision, Hong will play a character named ‘Grandpa Chen,’ Reynolds’ avatar and the person humans see when Reynolds is on the job. As for O’Malley, Empire reports that he will take on a smaller role as the ‘ghostly character’ Elliot,” they write. While O’Malley will be familiar to fans of the musical program, Wong is the legendary character actor famous for parts in “Blade Runner,” “Big Trouble in Little China,” and hundreds of low-budget cult classics.

Release date: June 28th, 2013

Spinoff Online reports that screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus would like to add Falcon and Sharon Carter to the mix in the eventual sequel. “Sharon is meaty, almost to a point where you get a little uncomfortable because her relation to Peggy has shifted over the years, as time has passed. She’s the sister, she’s the cousin, she’s the niece. You have to walk a fine line there because it does seem like you’re dating your girlfriend’s daughter,” explains Markus. “Falcon is awesome. We can’t play with time so much to have Cap go back to Harlem in the ’70s and clean up the streets, but it would be awesome to go straight-up, like, Shaft with Cap and the Falcon.”

Release date: TBA

MTV News offers a little commentary on the first trailer:

Release date: February 17th, 2012

The Blu-ray Blog has details of the film’s upcoming home video release, which includes commentary, deleted scenes and another “Marvel One Shot” short amongst other special features.

Starring Chris Evans, on DVD/Blu-ray: October 25th, 2011

As we reported last night here at CBR, “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke is developing a series based around Boston Brand for the CW. I imagine there will be lots of gravelly voiced dudes acting tough in a myriad of locations that all look suspiciously like Vancouver.

Airdate: TBA

Laurie Holden tells TV Guide that her character may leave the group with troubled number two Shane. “She wanted to go within the CDC [explosion. … If there is one virile man that’s an alpha male that’s capable of taking care of himself, why wouldn’t she leave with Shane?” she suggests. “A pack slows you down, so I think it’s a little bit of survival coming out.”

Premieres: October 16th, 2011
