Ultron could easily pass for a Decepticon, so why not switch them out? That's exactly what the good people over at Screen Rant did for their new fan-made trailer, "The Avengers VS Transformers."

Alright, so maybe that's oversimplifying it. The epic preview -- created by in-house editor, Alex Luthor -- wasn't just a matter of swapping one villain for another. As described by Screen Rant, "this mashup trailer was essentially eight years in the making, pulling scenes from fourteen movies to pit Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against some of the biggest and most powerful threats they’ve ever faced." Among those 14 films are all four "Transformers" installments, most of the entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and even Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" and its sequel.

The result is heavy on action sequences that seamlessly blend both worlds, from Bucky shooting Megatron right in the eye with a grappling hook to Captain America getting blasted by Brawl. Although this kind of crossover would likely never happen in the film world, let's not forget that "Transformers" was once a Marvel property, with Spider-Man fighting Megatron as early as the third issue of the original comic series.
