As The 100 enters the second half of its final season, the villains remain very much in control and growing in power as the heroes find themselves overwhelmed.

The CW has released a promo for the season's ninth episode, titled "The Flock," as Anders, the leader of the Disciples, is shown taking Octavia Blake and the others on a tour of Bardo. Outside of their futuristic home is a barren wasteland, littered with bodies that have long since become overgrown with the planet's strange plant-life.

Meanwhile, back on the faraway world of Sanctum, Indra finds herself forced to enter an alliance with the evil Sheidheda. While uniting the Grounders after an impassioned speech, Indra learned that Sheidheda had since taken an entire rival faction hostage while seizing the community's supply of guns, giving him the leverage he needed to free himself and return to power after being imprisoned and condemned to death at the start of the season.

The CW's official synopsis for "The Flock" is below:

The human race returns, after a 97-year exile in space, to a wildly transformed Earth...only to discover that the human race had never truly left. Clarke found herself forced to lead a band of disposable juvenile delinquents as they faced death at every turn: from a world transformed by radiation, from the fierce Grounders who somehow managed to survive in it, and, perhaps worst of all, from themselves. Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race.

The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles and Shannon Kook. The series airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
