After seven seasons of post-apocalyptic sci-fi conflicts and morally ambiguous character decisions, the hit CW drama The 100 will air its series finale on Sept. 30. Rather fittingly, it will also be the show's 100th episode."It’s official, #The100 comes to an epic conclusion and will end it's Seven-Season and 100 Episode run on Wednesday, September 30th on @TheCW!" a fan account tweeted. The tweet also included a commemoration date honoring the show's impressive lifespan: March 19, 2014 - September 30, 2020.

Underneath the quote were posters of the show's first and final season, which, in traditional The 100 fashion, contained some overt symbolism and parallels. The 2014 poster features members of the 100 Ark delinquents (plus Bellamy Blake and Raven Reyes) falling down to Earth as a pretext for the potential suicide mission they were given in testing the planet for life. Season 7's poster features some of Season 1's remaining survivors -- Clarke, Octavia, Raven and Murphy -- in similar poses but falling upward as they orbit an Anomaly Stone. The stone, introduced in Season 6, has played a major role throughout Season 7 as a key to opening temporal wormholes between various planets, including Sanctum, Skyring, Bardo and even Earth.

The 100's series finale episode will be titled "The Last War," a phrase referenced constantly by the Disciples of Bardo who worship former Second Dawn cult leader-turned-mythic Shepard Bill Cadogan. The other remaining episode titles for Season 7 will include Episode 13's "Blood Giant," Episode 14's "A Sort of Homecoming" and Episode 15's "The Dying of the Light." The next episode will air on Sept. 9 after a brief hiatus.

The human race returns, after a 97-year exile in space, to a wildly transformed Earth...only to discover that the human race had never truly left. Clarke found herself forced to lead a band of disposable juvenile delinquents as they faced death at every turn: from a world transformed by radiation, from the fierce Grounders who somehow managed to survive in it, and, perhaps worst of all, from themselves. Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race.

The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook and J.R. Bourne. The series airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
