One of the biggest struggles throughout Season 6 of The 100 has been Madi Griffin dealing with a malevolent personality known as the Dark Commander implanted within her. As the characters faced off against the Primes ruling the planet Sanctum, Madi would increasingly lose herself to the Dark Commander's murderous influence.
The CW has shared a pivotal scene from the Season 6 finale in which Raven Reyes purges the Dark Commander and other personalities within Madi under the watchful, emotional gaze of her loyal followers led by Indra and Gaia.
While the purge is apparently successful, Raven realizes she may not be able to delete the Dark Commander without compromising Madi's life.
With the Prime leader Russell also still alive, the upcoming seventh and final season of The 100 is sure to involve both villains returning to haunt the characters in the future.
The 100 airs on The CW Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon and Tasya Teles.
