The 100 Returns with An Extended Trailer for Season 6

After its cliffhanger season finale in August, The 100 is poised to return for its sixth season next month.

The CW released an extended trailer, providing a first look at Season 6 of the popular post-apocalyptic series. With the Season 5 finale rendering the Earth completely uninhabitable, the trailer shows Clarke and the last survivors of humanity attempting to settle on a new, alien world.

As the survivors begin to enjoy their idyllic environment, their hopes for a fresh start are abruptly interrupted by the planet's unexpected dangers, which threaten to plunge the new colony into bloody violence as it attempts to thrive and flourish.

A loose adaptation of Kass Morgan's young adult sci-novel series of the same name, The CW series has received critical acclaim since its premiere in 2014, including an Emmy Award nomination. Judging by the extended trailer, the returning characters will not catch a lucky break in this brave, new world.

The 100 returns on the CW for its sixth season starting April 30 at 9 pm ET/PT. The series stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon and Tasya Teles.
