In less than two weeks, The 100 returns on The CW for its sixth season, and the network has released a new trailer teasing the post-apocalyptic series' new setting.

Following Earth becoming completely uninhabitable in the Season 5 finale, the last remnants of the human race arrive on a strange, alien world with Clarke leading an exploratory team to the surface. The expedition finds an abandoned human settlement of colonists that arrived decades before the main survivors, along with a children's storybook only to realize that the storybook warns readers of the numerous dangers facing those living on the planet.

As the action in the trailer escalates, it becomes clear not only is the planet more deadly to humans than it initially appears, but the first generation of colonists are still alive ... and take none too kindly to uninvited visitors.

As the surface erupts into chaos, the survivors remaining on the spaceship are no safer, as the awakened Octavia must answer for the atrocities to keep her people alive while trapped in a bunker for much of Season 5. As the survivors of The 100 attempt to launch a fresh start, it quickly becomes clear they will be hunted by humanity's past.
