Netflix has officially renewed That '90s Show for a second season. According to Deadline, That '90s Show received a 16-episode order for Season 2, less than a month after its series premiere on Netflix. "All of us at That ‘90s Show were beyond excited by the warm, enthusiastic response to our first season. We can’t wait to return to Point Place for another summer of laughs and surprises. "We owe the fans, old and new, for taking the trip with us in the first season – and we can’t wait to be there with them in the second season," said co-creator and executive producer Lindsey Turner. Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith will reprise their respective roles as Kitty and Red Forman in Season 2. Joining them are other That '70s Show alumni, including Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, and Tommy Chong, who will appear as special guests in Season 2.

It was announced that That '90s Show had received a series order in October 2021 from the original creators of That '70s Show, Bonnie and Terry Turner. Netflix ordered 10 episodes of the '90s-themed spinoff series, with Mettler serving as showrunner. Smith and Rupp were among the first cast members announced as returning to the spinoff and also serve as executive producers on the series. Season 1 premiered on Netflix on Jan. 19.

Days after its release, it was reported that viewership numbers for the premiere of That '90s Show demolished those for other reboots, including HBO's Gossip Girl and Hulu's How I Met Your Father. Overall, 1.7 million households in the United States watched Season 1, Episode 1 of That '90s Show on Netflix in the first three days since its release.

That '90s Show returns to Point Place, WI with a new ensemble cast for a new generation of teenagers. Callie Haverda stars as Leia Forman, the daughter of Eric and Donna, who will be spending the summer in Point Place with her grandparents, Kitty and Red. The cast of newcomers includes Ashley Aufderheide as Gwen; Mace Coronel as Jay Kelso; Maxwell Acee Donovan as Nate; Reyn Doi as Ozzie; and Sam Morelos as Nikki. Five of the six prominent cast members from That '70s Show returned as guest stars for the sequel series.

Season 1 of That '90s Show is now available to stream on Netflix.
