The Secret Origin of the Thanos-Copter

Here it is, from the top of the issue, a basic helicopter just with Thanos listed on it...

That's so amazing.

Anyhow, a little kid gets the Cosmic Cube and Thanos is pissed...

Thanos get a hold of the Cube and starts causing some trouble for the Cat and Spider-Man steps in...

They luckily defeat him and we get to see the brilliance of Thanos being taken away by the cops in handcuffs...

Okay, now as to the origin of the Thanos-Copter, this might not surprise you, but it has a very Bat-tacular origin.

My buddy Mark Ginocchio interviewed Jim Salicrup for Mark's awesome book (which I have a copy of - I should get Mark to sign it!) 100 Things Spider-Man Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die (what a great idea! Someone should do one for the X-Men!) and here is what Jim had to say, "As for the Thanos-Copter, let's just say, I needed a simple way for him to get around and I'm a big fan of the Adam West/Burt Ward Batman movie, which festured the cinematic debut of the Bat-Boat and the Bat-Copter."

Hey, I didn't say that it wasn't an OBVIOUS secret!

Thanks to Mark and Jim for the information!

Okay, that's it for this installment! If anyone else has a suggestion for a future edition of Foggy Ruins of Time, drop me a line at brianc@cbr.com!
