After news began circulating that a Thanos-obsessed subreddit had plans to ban half of its members at random to achieve a perfect balance, Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo took notice and opted to join the cull. Now, one half of the duo, Joe Russo has uploaded a special message from the Mad Titan himself, Thanos -- well, the actor that plays him, at least, Josh Brolin.
In the video, which was both posted to Reddit by Russo and uploaded to Instagram by Brolin, the actor recreates Thanos' iconic snap ahead of the official banning which will take place tomorrow.
As it stands, the r/ThanosDidNothingWrong subreddit is currently sitting at 530k subscribers, which is up considerably from the slightly fewer than 300,000 members reported just a few days ago. The numbers look to only be increasing as the subreddit nears closer to the digital snap, which will result in half of its members randomly being banned -- something the members seem to be enthusiastically embracing, for they are about to be digitally dusted at the snap of Thanos.
If you happen to be one of the unlucky members banned from the r/ThanosDidNothingWrong subreddit tomorrow, no worries, you'll be able to converse with the other banned members over at r/inthesoulstone subreddit. And heck, maybe you'll get lucky and one of the Russo brothers will end up joining in the fun again.
Still in theaters, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin.
