The newly released cover for the November's Cosmic Ghost Rider #5 introduces us to a version of Thanos who has embraced The Punisher, right down to his love of guns and signature skull chest emblem.

Cosmic Ghost Rider has followed the adventures of a future version of Frank Castle. Brought back from the end of a universe where Thanos had succeeded in eliminating almost all of existence, Castle had been transformed through his experiences. During that span of time, Castle became a Ghost Rider in the service of Mephisto, a cosmic-powered herald of Galactus, and the Black Right Hand of King Thanos.

The current miniseries has centered around Castle thrown back into the past, where he kidnapped baby Thanos to try and raise him to become something other than a genocidal force of death. If that sounds like a bad idea, it’s because it really is. Despite the warnings of The Watcher Uatu, Galactus and the future Guardians of the Galaxy, the cover to Cosmic Ghost Rider #5 reveals the teachings of Castle may have an impact on baby Thanos when he grows up.
