Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War receives a dose of 1990s nostalgia in a fan mashup that combines the Children of Thanos with the sitcom Friends.

NBC's hit comedy ran from 1994 to 2004, and made household names of the likes of Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston. Friends aired its final episode more than 14 years ago, but that hasn't prevented its memorable opening theme from encroaching upon the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Shared on Reddit by NerdParker00, the video mixes the Children of Thanos with the Rembrandts' toe-tapping "I'll Be There For You."

It works surprisingly well, as Gamora, Proxima Midnight, Nebula, Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian and Corvus Glaive battle for the attention of their adoptive father.

Considering the Black Order was one of Infinity War's weakest aspects, it is fun to imagine a scenario in which the Children of Thanos are forced to live together in a New York City apartment. There is also an added sense of irony due to Gamora and Peter Quill's will-they-won't-they/Ross and Rachel relationship.

That said, NerdParker00's video reminds fans that it is basically an In Memoriam of fallen heroes and villains. The events of Infinity War famously killed off the entire Black Order, while Zoe Saldanna's Gamora was part of Thanos' scheme to collect the Soul Stone. In fact, the only one of the Mad Titan's children still alive is Karen Gillan's Nebula.

While Gamora is expected to return in some form for next year's Avengers 4, don't necessarily expect the Black Order to start tapping their feet and sing along to the Friends theme.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin.
