Bad news, everyone: There’s a very real chance Thanos killed off Lucky the Pizza Dog, too.

Speaking with Birth.Movies.Death, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that the Mad Titan’s devastating finger snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War affected all life everywhere – including animals.

In an interview ostensibly about Ant-Man and The Wasp, writer Russ Fischer couldn’t help but ask what all of us were thinking:

“I do need to confirm something about the outcome of Infinity War,” he said, “and apologies if you’ve addressed this – the end of Ant-Man and The Wasp led to conversations. Are half the animals dead? Are half of the horses gone? Half of the ants?”

“Yes!” replied Feige. “Yes. All life.”

So there you have it: Lucky, Lockjaw, Frog Thor, Tippy the squirrel, Howard the Duck, Lockheed, Aunt May's Ms. Lion, the rest of the Pet Avengers, and any other Marvel animal (or duck-like private investigator) you may have fallen in love with ... At least half of them are now dead.

Apparently genocidal purple warlords aren't dog people, after all.

At least that giant ant on the drums is still kicking.

Still in theaters, Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, Peter Dinklage, and Josh Brolin.
