Did You Spot the Infinity Gauntlet in the Endgame Trailer?

Thanos, of course, emerged victorious at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, defeating most of the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, collecting all six Infinity Stones, and -- with the snap of a finger -- eliminating half of all life. When we next saw the Mad Titan, he had taken up a more tranquil existence on remote alien planet, seemingly at peace. However, it appeared that using the Infinity Gauntlet had taken a physical toll on him, with scars along his arm presumably left by the glove shattering.

Now, with the release of the first official trailer for Avengers: Endgame, we get a very brief glimpse of Thanos, still living on his remote farm, and the Infinity Gauntlet, which looks to still be in his possession, if perhaps damaged beyond repair.

As Thanos strolls through a field in the Endgame trailer, the badly damaged glove skims the top of the plants. It would appear that he can no longer removed the Infinity Gauntlet, which has been fused to his hand, presumably as a result of the power unleashed at the end of Infinity War.

But what about the Infinity Stones themselves? That's difficult to say. The gems can't be seen in the new footage, but that may not mean much. It might simply be a result of the angle, or the lighting.

It was previously confirmed by directors Joe and Anthony Russo that the Infinity Gauntlet was indeed damaged, and that it couldn't be used to undo all of the deaths from Infinity War. But the Infinity Stones could yet be utilized individually. As evidence, Thanos was able to use the Space Stone to escape from Wakanda once the glove was damaged.

Or what if, somehow, the Infinity Gauntlet and Thanos are now one? Maybe Thanos is the Infinity Gauntlet, the vessel for containing their unbelievable power? That would certainly make him even more dangerous than before. The Mad Titan nearly killed all of the Avengers in one-on-one combat, so if he has some of the Infinity Stones fused to him, Earth's Mightiest Heroes would have little chance of standing against him. If only they had some reinforcements coming ...
