Concept artist Jerad Marantz shared a piece of early Thanos artwork from Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

"Here’s an early version of Thanos I designed for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame," Marantz captioned the Instagram post. "This was in early direction exploring the idea of him being like a religious figure."

Marantz's design shows Thanos covered head-to-toe in purple and gold, resembling a pharaoh. Compared to the onscreen version, Thanos' outfit mixes battle armor and religious garb, with cloaks and fabrics draped over his body. His headgear resembles an ancient warrior with gold metal pieces accentuating his head, upper body and arms.
