Leatherface from the original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has been transformed into a Funko Pop! figure.

As reported by Bloody Disgusting, the new figure and matching key chain are launching as part of the Funkoween event. The new Leatherface collectible is based on Gunnar Hansen's portrayal in the 1974 classic horror film and illustrates the character with a blood-splattered apron and chainsaw.

The Funko POP! Movies: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre - Leatherface (#1150) is available for pre-order from select retailers and is listed at $10.99 USD. While Funko has previously released Leatherface figures, this will be the first based on Tobe Hooper's original film. Inspired by murderer Ed Gein, the character Leatherface has become a permanent feature in horror and popular culture since his introduction in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Funko's Funkoween is an annual event that honors the halfway point to Halloween by introducing spooky-themed collections. The event lasts five days and includes sales on many of the company's collectibles. Last year, Funko celebrated the event by releasing the Marvel Zombies line which transformed fan-favorite characters like Wolverine and the Hulk into undead figures and key chains.

In recent months, the toy company has introduced collections featuring many popular movie characters. Godzilla and King Kong figures were released Jan. 2021 ahead of the Godzilla vs. Kong film premiere. Collaborating with Spirit Halloween, Funko also created a Pop! figure inspired by Sam from Trick 'r Treat.
