The release of Avengers: Endgame is fast approaching and, while most of the attention is on the highly secretive film, fans are already looking to Marvel's upcoming Phase 4 slate. Outside of Spider-Man: Far From Home, a Black Widow solo film and The Eternals, not much has been confirmed about it.
However, it appears Thor 4 could be a real possibility. In fact, Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson revealed she has heard talk about a pitch for it.
"I heard that a pitch has happened for [another Thor film]," she told The Los Angelest Times. "I don't know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened. I think the idea is Taika [Waititi, who directed Ragnarok] would come back."
While star Chris Hemsworth joked that he doesn't yet know if Thor will live or die in Avengers: Endgame, the actor previously said he and director Taika Waititi exchanged ideas on a potential fourth Thor film last year.
However, nothing will be confirmed until later this year. In fact, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said that the plans for Phase 4 will not be revealed until after the release of this summer's Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Before we learn anything about a possible Thor 4, Valkyrie and the God of Thunder will both return in Avengers: Endgame.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 26.
