20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for Deadpool 2, and in an unexpected turn of events, it appears that actor Terry Crews will play what may be a crucial role in the sequel.

The trailer's main focus is on introducing Cable to the film franchise's fanbase, but at the 1:39 mark, it looks like a team from Marvel Comics will also be making their debut. Deadpool and Domino stand alongside several other characters, one of which is played by Crews.

A former NFL player in the 1990s, Crews has gone on to have a successful career as an actor. His roles in The Expendables film franchise and the television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine has helped him to become a fan favorite actor.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role, and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. The film hits theaters on May 18.
