Following the critical and commercial failure of Terminator Salvation, it's really no wonder that current rights holder Pacificor, LLC hasn't done much with the franchise. But, living up to his word, the Terminator is back with an all-new animated movie in the works.
Hannover House and Red Bear Entertainment are currently developing Terminator 3000, envisioned as a 3-D animated feature film with a budget of $70 million. Plot details are under lock and key at the moment, though the movie is set to focus on "the characters and situations introduced in the original Terminator feature."
Additionally, Hannover House and Red Bear Entertainment "have stated a goal of minimizing violence in order to obtain a PG-13 level of material." So, you know, don't expect the Terminators to do much terminating. Good times.
