'Terminator Genisys' Launches a 'Killer App' in New International Trailer

The sinister, if awkwardly spelled, app of the title is introduced in a new Japanese trailer for "Terminator Genisys" that showcases new footage from the franchise reboot.

We're treated to another look at Jason Clarke's John Connor, a character long portrayed as the savior of humanity. Here, however, he's "not man, not machine." "I'm more," he declares.

Directed by Alan Taylor, the film is billed as a remix of the 1984 original, with resistance leader John Connor sending loyal soldier Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney of “Divergent”) from the post-apocalyptic future back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother Sarah (Emilia Clarke of “Game of Thrones”) from a Terminator programmed to kill her.

Opening July 1, “Terminator Genisys” also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Matt Smith, J.K. Simmons and Byung-Hun Lee.
